Did Carrie Underwood Wear a Project Runway Knockoff?

On Sunday night, country singer Carrie Underwood performed in a nude satin onesie that looked almost exactly like a dress from Carol Hannah Whitfield's final collection during the most recent Project Runway finale. While there are slight differences between the pieces - Carrie's features hot pants - it was pretty clear that one was derived from the other.

Yet Carol Hannah, who lost the show's sixth season to Irina Shabayeva, says Underwood's garment was not her own. She seemed just as surprised as her fans over the situation, Tweeting, "Still scratching my head over the Carrie Underwood = my dress but not my dress situation. I want to talk to her stylist please! Not cool!"

Underwood's stylist, Trish Townsend, does not appear to have commented on the situation thus far. Meanwhile, Whitfield seems to have taken it all in stride, writing, "I have total respect for CU-think she's a sweetheart. And, regardless, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :)"
