Do Stuffed Cats Belong on the Red Capet? Yes, This Is a Serious Question
partner
OMG, did anyone watch
the Daytime Emmys this weekend? Young and the Restless star Stacy
Haiduk walked the red carpet with one of the prop stuffed cats from
the show as her purse!
At first glance it looked like she'd brought her pet (way to
go props department, very realistic!), but then I noticed how --
uh, stiff it looked.
So what's your vote: cutting edge fashion or super creepy?
(I think you know what side I'm on).

not cool!
while taxidermy may have it's purpose for say biology studies, this is beyond distasteful
bringing a stuffed cat along as a gag might be fine, if it had something to do with the movie
but, to use it as a purse is disrespectful to animals...if you love it as a pet, you don't want to line it's intestines and stick your cell phone in it...very disturbing!

Eh... from what I understand she did it as sort of an inside joke to the people that know her charecter... I don't watch the soap (or any soap for that matter and the only one that I ever did watch has been cancelled after 72 years) but from what I understand her character talks to a dead cat, thus the stuffed cat on the red carpet.

OMG! Poor cats! I know some people adore their cats and want them to live forever, but stuffing them and then putting them on the red carpet is just going too far! I understand if you love your cat and I understand if you want to stuff it to preserve it, but you should leave it at home. No one wants to see a dead cat on the red carpet.

It is very disrespectful no matter WHAT you use it for. If you really love your pets, or any animals, it's really mean , distasteful, and stupid. Would you stuff a good friend or relative? It's the same thing as far as I'm concerned.

I too think is was very disrespectful thing to do. It is really bad publicity because now it will become a trend for really insensitive humans to kill and stuff animals and carry them around as things, such as...the purse! True...nobody wants to see a dead cat on the red carpet.

Right...now everybody is going to go out, kill and stuff their pets because they want to be just like these ladies.
