Drugstore Discovery Of The Week: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Gel Oil

Anyone who has been confined, whether because of an unforgiving work schedule or an ever-dwindling bank account, to a summer in the city must devise their own means of survival. I have always found that a combination of endless mojitos, a Vornado fan on the highest setting pointed directly at my head, and a plethora of cocoa butter-rich products does the trick. Something about that sweet scent of cocoa beans manages to instantly transport me from stinky subway platform to secluded beach in Brazil . Fellow lovers of cocoa butter are likely already smitten with drugstore brand Palmer’s, but I recently came across a new product by the self-proclaimed “butter experts” on the bottom shelf of my local Duane Reade. The Moisturizing Gel Oil with SPF 15 melds the ultra-hydrating properties of a dense moisturizer with the slick, sheen-imparting quality of an oil, and, of course, the signature cocoa scent still remains. At a cool $9, it’s escapism on the cheap.

    Palmers is always been a great classic to use it's inexpensive but luxurious PLEASE try the lotion too! The oil is awesome as well and a must for the summer. If you love the smell of cocoa butter I promise you will never go back to pricey moisturizers again! Bravo Shine/ Style you got this one right on!!!

    also really nice, the Vaseline cocoa better gel, it smells so good! But im going to try the Palmers, u can never have too much SPF

    i love and trust Palmer's! im using the Softens, smoothes and relieves sry skin... and it's really works... tnx a lot...

    Yeah I have been using the new vaseline cocoa butter gel too it's cool. definately will try the oil. we have used palmers cocoa butter for years.
