Fashion that makes us sad: Booty Pop panties
editor
I'm kind of late to the party on this one, but a few days ago a bunch of bloggers discovered that Paula Abdul's stylist (what a job that must be, seriously), Jennifer Rosenblatt, is endorsing a new brand of padded underwear called Booty Pop—"The Panties That Make Your Booty Pop."
Now, I personally can't fathom a woman who would want extra butt padding, but Rosenblatt can: many of her celeb clients tragically do not have enough behind to fill out their designer jeans. Hence, Booty Pop. It comes in three sizes (Sweet, Sweeter, Sweetest) and seven colors (including Cotton Candy and Gum Drops) and feels weirdly—even though its giving you a more womanly shape—totally infantilizing. [

You want your booty to "pop"? Stop dieting and exercising so much women! Let a little fat grow, there aint nothing wrong with it. Men like a little meat on them bones. Don't think you have to look like tall skeletons in makeup because that is what you see on T.V. Men don't want to go to bed with a bag of bones. It's uncomfortable.

Having a flat, curveless bottom is just not a universal beauty standard. I think it's ridiculous for others to judge a woman who wants a booty pop as not being "satisfied" with what life has given her, while the same people dye their hair, wear colored contacts, go to tanning salons, inject botox, and go on starvation diets to achieve a different look. What's new here is that the white European/American body image used to be the exclusive beauty standard, and now Latina and African American women's curves and shapes are considered the new sexy trend. Men of color have always preferred thickness and curves, the European/American fashion industry prefers anorexia. I think all women look better with a little bubble in the back.

I feel like hulagirlhw hit the mark! It's hard to find jeans for some peoples butt. Frederick's of Hollywood makes them too. I found a Demi Zipper on the net, used by crossdressers. Give them a more shapely body, but it cost more($150 +).

Ok, I understand the need to love our body as the God made it and all that happy talk. But since the dawn of time woman ahve worn everything from make up to wigs to look better and more power to 'em.
Padded miracle bras to lift and push the boobs have been around for long time. Now , some extra help is used for the back end.
I have seen this padded pantys worn by Kelly Rippa (Regis and Kelly) and see nothing wrong with it for a booty challenged female.
The right make up, clothes fit and hair style all helps for the overall look.

I think that padded panties are totally normal - like padded bras. Who cares if you're making your butt or your boobs bigger. same thing if you ask me. But these booty things are ridiculous. They made me look like a football player - or like I have growths on my butt. sorry there jennifer rosenblat but you should have done some research before endorsing this product. even the cheap stuff on feelfoxy is better than bootypop.

Maybe if I was crazy I would buy this. I may not have a butt, but I'm happy with the rear I have! (little as it is!)
