Foot in mouth disease: Dior says "peace out" to Sharon Stone
Lauren Hutton's supposed faux pas
against "the gays" pales in comparison to Sharon Stone's allegations
that the disaster in China was deserved due to their poor treatment of
the Tibetans. (I think she used the phrase, "bad karma." Yikes!) So the
damage control begins, and not only has Stone expressed her remorse,
Dior did more than slap her on the wrist: Today the
New York Times
reports that they ended her beauty and fashion contract for China when
customers over there threatened to boycott the brand. Poor Sharon.
Sometimes when stars try to
get political, the fallout is disastrous.
But, the week's not over yet! My bet is on Jessica Simpson for the next
spillage...

She didn't say anything many of us may have been thinking. Do I think innocent people should pay for the tyranical government or horrible business practices, no, but then I don't make millions of dollars looking pretty either. She voiced a non politically correct opinion. Should she loose contracts for that, sure... but there are bigger things we should be concerned about that have very little to do with the Chinese. If she had said we should stop driving usless SUV's and save some gas and the planet... then maybe it would be news worthy.

Hundreds of children had to die... because of bad karma. If you think that, consider yourself a cold hearted monster. That's all I want to say.

Her comments were not politically incorrect...they were politically STUPID! This was not about Sharon Stone and free speech, this was about her showing the world what happens when you don't think before you speak. Bravo, Sharon Stone, bravo.

I agree that the Chinese government is atrocious as to human rights, but y'all, please! If God is going to exact judgement on someone, don't you think His aim is going to be a little better?
