Free instant complexion booster

There's a health article in the Times called "Fit not Frail: Exercise as a Tonic for Aging," and though its aim is to shed light on the fact that a consistent fitness routine can delay or even prevent some of the pitfalls of age, such as loss of muscle and mobility, leave it to me to see the superficial in this mandate. Because if there's one thing I notice more than all the various health benefits associated with working out, the prime bonus is that of a fabulous complexion.

It makes sense: improved blood flow and circulation means you're naturally detoxing your skin, and as long as you practice good skincare hygiene (see our "5 Steps to Healthy Gym Skin for the Breakout Prone" post), all that sweating can actually help clean out your pores. Plus, because exercise has been shown to reduce stress, your chances of breaking out significantly diminish.

What do you think? Does your skin magically seem to look better when you actually stick to your fitness resolutions or what?
