Hangover helper for dull skin

It's funny how a few glasses of wine with dinner is totally fine, but the same amount of wine on an empty stomach translates into a hellish hangover with a hot mess of a complexion to match. My sin was the latter last night, and since I'm so into peels this week, instead of the 12 steps I should probably look into, I summoned the big guns in the form of a new two step regimen from Clarins. The fabulous results, after the jump...

Recharge your skin and look younger in 30 days!

The Clarins HP Bright Plus Brightening Peel is about the easiest thing to use ever. Tamarind fruit and glycolic acid are blended with arginine for intensive exfoliation and brightening; alchemilla, raspberry, and stable vitamin C extracts help with hyperpigmentation associated with sun, age and dark spots. Usually, this kind of peel is associated with a toner you have to use after in order to calm the skin; this stuff seems equally effective, but you don't have to rinse it off, which means it's an excellent exfoliator to have on hand, period.

Check out the toner that everyone's raving about, Biologique Recherche's P50 W.

You can, however, follow it up with an application of their Intensive Brightening Mask, and since this was a skin emergency (um, yeah whatever), I did so with haste. Since the mask contains basically the same exact ingredients as the peel does, I'm not exactly sure why you need both unless having the product sit on your face in a creamier form somehow makes the whole bit more efficacious. Still, I will say that the one-two punch definitely picked up the pieces of my formerly blotchy, dull complexion. Next time, I'll stick to two glasses of wine as well.
