Heels from hell: 10 most ridiculous shoes at Europe’s fashion week

    • Alexander McQueen sent models down the catwalk in 10" platform stilettos that resembled crustaceans. We do not envy them, or their footwear.
    • Everyone was hung up on the gigantic Afros that walked the runway for the Louis Vuitton show, but we were too distracted by these furry Ugg-like boots. So Uggly!
    • These Gucci boots should more than satisfy an S+M fetish.
    • There's nothing weird about clogs except that they're not usually seen walking the Chanel show in Paris. What was Karl Lagerfeld thinking?
    • These scary heels at Alexander McQueen belong in a Tim Burton movie--they look like they're alive!
    • Lucite was once reserved for ladies of the night, but Fendi put a high (like, really high) fashion spin on them.
    • The feather-adorned heels at Valentino were sort of pretty, but how would you wear these out? Imagine if they got wet or you stepped in something... ew.

While Fashion Week in Paris and Milan are known for their luxurious and extravagant fashions, sometimes the designers push it a little too far. Alexander McQueen's avant guard looks reached new heights atop 10" heels, while lucite heels and dominatrix boots got a high-fashion twist. Think you'd never refuse Vutton, Versace and Valentino? Here's some over-the-top footwear you'd likely pass up even if you could actually walk in them.

The Gucci boots and Valentino shoes are lovely. I am just waiting for this platform trend to end. Even without the addition of lucite it makes most shoes look like stripper shoes.

Those shoes actually REALLY upset me. Like I'd never felt so much sudden hatred and disgust in my life! Especially not from a shoe!

I absolutely adore the Gucci boots and Valentino shoes too. Totally hot! Stripper shoes or not, I'd proudly wear them!

Just those first shoes were ugly. The rest weren't that bad. I thought some were cute.
