Help! Any advice for summer wedding outfit?

So, I have about 12 weddings this summer, the first of which will be in South Carolina...in July. So I am expecting some major heat. I bought this dress which is from Plenty by Tracy Reese:

The thing is that the wedding itself will be in a church and I would rather not have my shoulders be bare during the ceremony. I know that technically I could do a cardigan but I think it will look too sweet ie: overkill. I was thinking of doing like a cool, edgy blazer but have no clue what would look good with it or where to go to find something for it. Any thoughts? Also, it needs to be fairly inexpensive as I am already pumping in some major $$$ to fly for this wedding. I got the dress in a major sale for $61 so I would LOVE a major sale with your ideas!

    That's a cute dress!! I love it!

I think there's a lot that falls in between blazer and cardigan. I bought a pretty, crocheted black half-sweater at Talbot's a couple years ago. It has three-quarter sleeves and comes about halfway down my back. It matches with everything. I think it was about $50, which, yeah, is sort of pricey, but considering how useful it is and how much I've worn it, it was totally worth it. And you have all those weddings to go to, so I think whatever you buy should be able to go with at least a few of those ceremonies. Most weddings are in a church, whether traditional or not, and even if you don't feel the need to cover up, you might still want a wrap for keeping warm in frigid air conditioning.

If you really do want the blazer though, I suggest something that comes halfway down your back (sorry, I don't know the fashion lingo.) If you look at mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses in David's Bridal, a lot of those dresses come with the little jacket I'm imagining, so you can get an idea of what will look good with your dress.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the compliments on the dress! I love it too and am excited to wear it. Also thanks for the advice. I never thought of Forever 21 as a place to check out but you are right! I am going to have to swing by there this weekend.
