Hillary Clinton: Incredible, history-making speech; odd, Creamsicle outfit

Oh, night two of the Democratic National Convention. I have so many mixed feelings about the Hillary Clinton presentation last night I don't even really know where to begin. First (and I know this is not what you come here for, but indulge me for a second), let's talk about the songs in the video. This might seem like a picky point, but isn't the Van Halen cover of the Kinks' song "You Really Got Me" a wee sexual for this kind of forum? Then there was "Are You Gonna Go My Way?" by Lenny Kravitz, which was clever, if confusing. And, last, the makers of this little film busted out, "American Girl," a song long-rumored to be about a woman committing suicide in Florida. Hmmm.
In terms of speech giving, Clinton pulled off one of those oratory performances that we'll probably remember when we're old and sitting around with our kids' kids. It was spirited and inspiring and made me proud to be a woman living in this time. Whatever your political views, you have to give it up to a lady with that much power, presence and intellectual brawn. She brought the house down. Well done, HC.

But, seriously, from a fashion perspective: What was up with the head-to-toe tangerine? It's such an odd  choice for anyone, but especially someone who presumably has a team of stylists. I don't remember ever before in my life seeing color manipulated by anyone in this way, except perhaps Elton John. I'm not even saying it was bad, just really bizarre and circus-like. A three-piece suit in all one bright Creamsicle hue? Ack.  Anyway, apparently, this tangelo wonder was specifically chosen from an array of sherbet-colored options, after it was deemed best against the blue DNC backdrop. See the (kind of hilarious) pic from ABC below.

I loved her pants suit-- not really, but she could have stood up there in an Easter Bunny costume and I would've paid more attention to her speech than her clothes. Give it a rest.

Ugh...I am not a Hillary fan. This pantsuit comes as not surprise as she has always been a fashion disaster. I'm just glad she isn't going to be the next President.

Senator Clinton isn't the only woman who wears the tone on tone outfits. I can never understand why women don't break it up with a white blouse. Would have been much better.

She was wearing Denver Bronco orange, appropriate for Invesco Field!

    Go HRC!!!!!

If the Dems lose this election, there can be only two reasons: the MASSIVE egos of BO and MO.

They are COMPLETELY intimidated by the Clintons.

If BO would have picked Hillary, the GOP would have thrown in the towel.

Instead, they pick a "Hockey mom" and now the race is statistically even!

    (check the latest polls...)

    Hillary in 2012!

THIS TIME, we'll get it right!

Hillary Clinton would have made a good President, She knows how to do the job and I doubt she would be handing out stemilus packages, She always wears Pant Suits,I think the one she wore looked a whole lot better than that Black & Red Dress Ms. Obama wore, Hillary also knows what's it takes to be successful in any thing she undertakes,She has been our First Lady and a Senator, She is highly Intelligent You can make fun of Hillary's pant suits all you like. I agree with Angela "The FACT is that Hillary still wears the pants in this little power competition, and even in her final concession last night, she didn't let anyone forget it. Obama could never have won without Hillary's support" Ms. Obama is jellious of Hillary, It obviously bothered her that her speech didn't pack half the punch of Hillary Clinton's she needs to realise Hillary has paid her dues and she will have to pay hers..
