I have a problem whith my hands—they are always dry no matter how often i oil them. I am very shy to shake hands with people or even to let people see them. What do you suggest?

Report AbuseTry : Treat your hands with a paraffin hand treatment/ try a hand spa service - then maintain by applying moisturizing scrubs once a week, before sleep, then moisturize with a for-dry-skin lotion/ body butter is best.
During the day, don't forget to put on sunscreen to prevent further dryness.
(plus, always, always put on lotion after washing hands. So keep a small tube when travelling.

Report AbuseI am a nail tech of 10 years and get this question all of the time. They best solutions are: sea salt oil scrub (you can find this at a place like Sally's Beauty Supply Stores) I love the Solor Oil brand but this may not be available to unlicensed customers. But they have other brands. Use this once a day and it works wonderful! You can even use it in the shower on elbows heels etc. :o)
Also you can use heavy creams (lotions won't do much if they are cracking) I suggest putting cream on at night with light cotten gloves. This keeps the moisture in and will work all night long!
I love oils. Cuticle old is great to carry around in your purse, after washing your hands dab a bit on each cuticle and rub in (you can put a dab on your knuckles etc if you like too)
Parifin treatments are nice too like someone said above but can be painful if you have cracked skin.
Also stay away from cleaners (bleach etc) and washing dishes! Always use heavy duty gloves! I swear by that!
Hope that helps! :o)
