How often do you repeat outfits?

Why does it always seem like matter how many closets and dressers full of clothes you have, you always end up wearing the same few things? Whether you're feeling lazy, uncreative or just out of clean clothes, it's easy to fall back on a favorite outfit. But would you wear the exact same thing twice in one week? What about if you knew you were going to be photographed and had your picture all over the internet?

Anna Wintour repeat the same ensemble in London while attending the Luella and Meadham Kirchhoff fashion shows on September 21 and again three days later at Giorgio Armani in Milan. As the editor in chief of Vogue, she is a fashion icon that everyone in the industry takes note of. So why did she choose to wear the same dress, coat, shoes, and accessories three days apart? Is Wintour's designer wardrobe suffering from the recession? Did she lose track of outfits? Was she packing light? Did she think that by being in a different city no one would notice? Perhaps she just did not care. But for a big name who is constantly photographed sitting front row that's a pretty risky move!

While part of us thinks the editor should step it up (even we didn't repeat our wardrobes during fashion week), it's also refreshing to see a woman in fashion not completely bent out of shape about having the latest and greatest everything new each day. We're happily surprised. In honor of Anna we're going to wear the same outfit all weekend. OK, fine, we probably would have done that anyways.

i dont repeat outfits for at least 2-3 weeks. Those being the standard or work outfits.

However for important events that require a business suit, dresses, etc....I wait at least 5-6 months before repeating an outfit.

Perhaps her luggage got lost and that was all she had...

Anyway... I think it's refreshing to see fashion moguls have favorites and wear things more than once... because not everyone has the budget to have something new to wear every time they go out... I know I don't.

I think it's great that any fashion icon would wear the same coat or dress again in the same week or month or ever in public! We need more of this so the message is sent out that clothes are yes, fashion and fun...but need to be utilitarian and worn....I do go to my favs esp in at home wear or weekend wear...as far as going out wear, I can do the same thing 3 nights in a row if say it's to go listen to local venue music events. Why not? I sure would not be embarrassed if I ran into anyone I knew at more then one event. If I like it, and I don't have time to think about a new look to put together..it's the only way to make it to things on time - the go to it outfit of the week! Work, traffic, getting back out but not in work clothing - heck! It makes perfect sense to go in the same thing until it's dirty! None of my friends would ever say anything about it.

We're in a damn recession. Most of us are broke as a joke, and you expect anyone to care about recycling outfits? Do you actually get paid for this nonsense?

For me it is OK to repeat your best outfits. Why pay so much for designer clothes if you can't even wear them more than one time?
