How to Buy a Pair of Jeans
partner
4 quick tips to keep
in mind when buying your next pair of jeans.
- Slide your hands into the pockets to check the depth. Front
pockets should be shallow; extra fabric here can add bulk.
- If you always use a belt, be sure to wear your favorite one
when you're shopping for jeans. Not all belt loops are the same
size.
- If the waistband gapes at the back when you sit or it presses
torturously into your lower belly, this is a pair you should
skip.
- If you find great-in-the-butt jeans with other fit issues,
remember that a tailor can make adjustments to both the length of
the hem and the fit through the leg.

The only thing I have an issue with is saying that if they gap in the back dont buy them. I have a tiny waist and curvy butt and thighs, every pair of pants I have ever tried on gaps. If they fit everywhere else just take them to the tailor.

I am only able to buy Charlott Russe jeans because I have a smaller waist and a curvy butt and thighs, Its a little hard to find jeans that fit and Charlott Russe jeans do fit. Perfect.

Well, I have no butt (well, it's actually quite cute)! So I would have to say for an average waist and a tiny butt, go with Silver jeans. They are a must! They always look good on me wether I gain or loose a few pounds.

I concur...concerning the gapping in the back issue. A larger rear runs in my family, so I'm rather attached to mine. I finally found some jeans that fit great, but the store that carried them is now closed. So, once I wear these out...I'll be back to gappy jeans.

A real tip would be shop around, ask for help from an assistant at the store about fit, they are trained to help you especially if the store has several different fits. All stores make their denim differently with different styles, sizes and body types in mind.
