Now it's spring and they're slathering on the oils and literally baking in the sunshine. Their sunburns radiate heat and we're not even into June yet! Granted, sun on your skin feels really good, but at what point do you stop and think "hey, I'm destroying my skin"? And aren't tanning bed bulbs way worse for you than the real thing? There is no SPF lotions for tanning beds, is there?
How do you tell your friend she's looking more and more like Magda, that character from Something About Mary who looks more like a leather bag than an mature older woman. It's just not a natural glow when your skin is straight up orange!

Report AbuseIt's sad to think that something that is supposed to make you look healthy, can have such detrimental long term effects. I've noticed how beautiful some women look with just a slight bronzing, but I've also seen women whose skin looks like it's been crying for relief for years.

Report AbuseI feel so much pressure to go tanning because so many women my age (25) do & it looks great on them. I tried it last year and in that short time noticed skin changes that I don't like, so I stopped doing it. I use self-tanner a couple of times a week now, but I'm still pale. :/
