The Kate Moss rumor mill is swirling again, and this time, people are buzzing that UK brand Rimmel is about to drop her like a bag of chips.
Purported replacements: Aggy Deyn, Lily Cole, Daisy Lowe, Gemma Arterton (a Bond Girl), or Alexa Chung (TV presenter/girlfriend of the Arctic Monkeys's singer Alex Turner).
Kate's been the face of Rimmel for-EVER (OK, since 2001), but there has routinely been speculation that the pair weren't meant to be for long. In 2007, word was that Rimmel wanted to swap Kate for a new face, and later that year, there were rumors that her lashes were digitally enhanced for a Magnif'Eyes mascara ad. And most famously, of course, there was the whole drug scandal.
While I think Kate is quintessentially Rimmel—she's sexy, British, and she's got that edgy, glam vibe the brand's all about—I'm not worried for her future should Rimmel move on.
After all, she's been on top of her game since the early '90s, and last year Forbes magazine named her the world's second richest model (after Gisele).
