Know Where to Dig for Bargains: Delia's Online Catalog

I have no idea what compelled me to fish around on Delia's website just now, but it turns out they have some stuff that's totally applicable even for those of us who left behind their teenage years a long, long time ago. My favorite pieces are the ones that have a sort of bookish, preppy vibe, including this cozy shrunken sailor sweater ($59.50).  This would look so cute on the weekends with jeans and this classic navy blue toggle coat ($89.50), or else during the workweek with ankle-length black pants and leopard flats. And to finish it all off, I'm tempted to add my prescription lenses to these bargain-priced Poindexter glasses ($9.50).

Digging for bargains includes buying a $60 sweater? No ma'am. Don't think so.

Yeah $60 is not a sweater bargain! Chickpea, you're so right!

60 bucks for a sweater? not in my life time! Thirft stores are wonderful for finding great clothes for 2.98 and nothing over 15.00! I have gotten hardly worn designer clothing and purses and spent LESS than 60 bucks!

I agree w/everyone else in regards to paying $60 for a sweater. Perhaps it was a bargain for her based on what she normally pays for a sweater.

I'd pay $60 for a wool sweater, not a wool/acrylic/cotton blend such as this. Even then, part of the fun of shopping for me is the hunt for the great bargain. Paying full retail isn't in my nature unless it's a treat for myself. I've gotten some cute things from Delia's, but I always shop the clearance/sale section. Most if it is cheaply made, but there is always that occasional surprise item that's not too expensive and looks good.
