Let's start a Shine Fashion book club!

Hey ladies (and gentlemen whomever you may be), I was thinking yesterday about how much I love this community and the unique take you guys have on style and beauty, what you'll buy, what's ridiculous, etc (a perfect example of this is the silly/sassy exchange I had yesterday in the comments section with reader Sarah Y). Anyway, given that you're all so smart and opinionated, I thought it would be absolutely the funnest thing if we started a book club.

I propose we begin with one of my favorite books about the fashion industry, Janice Dickinson's No Lifeguard on Duty. This memoir is from before crazy Janice was ever a loud-mouthed, plastic-faced judge on America's Next Top Model. It tells the story of her years as an obscenely successful model in the '70s and '80s, all the celebrities she met and had relationships with and just how dark the business of modeling really is. It is awesome and juicy and I bet (if you have interest in this sort of thing) you will love it.

Let me know in the comments below if you're interested in the SFBC (Shine Fashion Book Club) and we could start in...two weeks? Back-to-school with trashy books? Perhaps if we all love it, we'll get an interview with Janice later? Oh, the possibilities are endless.
You can buy JD's book on Amazon for $7.99 by clicking here.

That's Janice Dickinson? REALLY? OK, I'm in. And I have a suggestion for another title... a retro that every girl must read: "Sex and the Single Girl" by Helen Gurley Brown. Anything by the editor of Cosmo would relate to this new bookclub, I would think.

Is this only for young people? Will there be books maybe for the middle age people. If not, maybe we could have two book clubs.
