Lindsay Lohan caught in the middle of another heist

Either Lindsay Lohan has a serious case of sticky fingers, or people love blaming her when it comes to their missing goods. Back in 2007, Linds allegedly botched an opportunity to be the new face of Louis Vuitton during an ELLE magazine photo shoot. "Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot," said an on-shoot source. "Lindsay kept shoving the clothes into her bag...She ended up walking off with a very expensive shirt and some other items - which screwed Louis Vuitton because they were set to go to Vogue, W and Harper's Bazaar for other shoots." In the article that accompanied the shoot, Lindsay was quoted as saying, "I wanted everything. There was this Cartier watch, and I was like, 'What do I have to do to get this watch?'"

Last year, La Lohan "mistakenly" took home an $11,000 mink coat which belonged to a Columbia University student from a private New York club. When the girl came across a picture of Lindsay wearing the mink in OK! magazine, she notified the club and eventually got it back, although she claimed it stunk of "cigarettes and liquor." Later that same week, model Lauren Hastings/Shia LaBeouf's ex-girlfriend claimed Lindsay stole thousands of dollars worth of clothing and accessories out of her closet. Though she had five witnesses who "all said they saw Lindsay Lohan, basically in my closet, handing a bag full of clothes to her bodyguard,” police did not press charges against Lindsay due to insufficient evidence. “I contacted Lindsay and said, ‘Look, I know you stole my clothes,'" says Lauren. "She then said I was completely delusional, I was pathetic.” None of the items were recovered.

While these three instances could be fabricated or embellished, it does make Lindsay a suspect in the most recent and most extreme theft, which occurred at a June 6 shoot for British ELLE. A custom Dior necklace and earrings worth $411,316 disappeared and were reported missing two days later by magazine staffers. English police have begun their investigation and intend to question Ms. Lohan in person.

Whoever took the jewels clearly didn't think about the fact that the custom pieces are useless possessions, as they cannot be worn in public without being identified. Is someone strapped for cash and hoping to sell the items to a pawn shop? We'd like to hope the items were misplaced, or, um, borrowed by someone on the set and will be returned, but as of now there are no updates to report.

Not surprised. The entitlement idea of most known people is not a big shocker. I'm sure she has gotten away with smoking crack and not even her mother has done anything as long as she is bringing in the Benjamen's

She will be another hasbeen who will go to jail for being an incompetent idiot b/c she didn't graduate high school and will have her mother to comfort their greedy mentalities.

I guess when you're Lindsay Lohan, you can take whatever you want, regardless of who they belong to. This girl makes me so ill! Why is she famous? Why is she rich and spoiled? She can't act, sing, dance, paint, write. What is the appeal? It's one of those things that just doesn't make sense. Like Swiss Cheese from Wisconsin. It LOOKS like Swiss Cheese. SMELLS like Swiss Cheese. But it just ain't the genuine article!

She sounds like a classic klepto...no reason or logic behind the thefts, she just can't seem to help herself.

OKAY first of all... we don't even know if this information is REAL people. This chick is kindda crazy but magazines stay in business making up lies and twists about celebrities' lives. Don't be so quick to judge... IDK, I just feel bad for her.

Well, there's just too much proof kv...

I mean, that'd be pretty bad if there were THAT many people out to get her! I just think she's messed up, mentally. You'd think that after all of the money she earns, she'd be able to buy all of this stuff. It's not like she's underprivileged or something! I guess she's just materialistic, but one day she'll learn that things like family and friends are more valuable than anything that she's stolen.
