Neon nails are back for summer
partner
If you remember anything
about last summer—the elusive season that this year continues to
tease, but just won’t commit—bare feet and brightly painted toes
likely factor into whatever beachfront montage you’re currently
summoning. Just as familiar, for us at least, are vivid images of
Essie’s white-capped, square glass bottles of limited-edition neon
polishes, which we religiously toted around to pedicure
appointments. Back by popular demand, the New York-based nail guru
has released a whole new crop of retina-burning shades for 2009 to
keep you looking forward to many happy poolside returns. This
year’s offerings include Punchy Pink, an icy watermelon; Flirty
Fuchsia, a fluorescent magenta; Funky Limelight, a Day-Glo yellow;
and Perky Purple, an electric violet that we’ve already tapped for
our next salon visit. The four-piece collection goes on matte, so
you can practice for Fall’s flat-finish trend, or add a top coat
for that shiny, glistening effect. Click here to properly
outfit yourself for the upcoming holiday weekend.
