An insider explains why the Oscar winner isn’t happy with recent photos of herself.

Although Nicole Kidman claims to have never had plastic surgery, an insider tells BettyConfidential that the star has been telling friends that she’s not happy with the way she looks at the moment — and it’s because of a cosmetic procedure gone wrong.
“She had her lips done and she wasn’t happy with the results,’’ says the source. “Her upper lip was noticeably swollen and she was calling herself ‘trout lips.’ And, now that everyone has been picking up on it, she's been freaking out. But she'll never publically admit she had any work done.''
“To be honest, I am completely natural,’’ Nicole told Marie Claire magazine in 2007. “I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself and I’m very proud to say that.’’
At the Country Music Awards earlier this month, the 42-year-old was photographed busting out of her L’Wren Scott gown. The actress confessed to Ladies Home Journal recently that nursing 1-year-old daughter Sunday Rose had given her bigger boobs, and said “when you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling!”

But she wasn’t about to discuss her boobs — or her lips — on the red carpet at the CMAs and rushed inside, leaving her singer hubby, Keith Urban, looking around for her and asking, “Where is she?”
It’s not the first time that there has been speculation that Nicole has had a little work done. In addition to whispers about her breasts, experts have claimed in the past that she has had Botox, pointing to the oddly arched eyebrows and frozen expression of someone who’s gone under the needle. And after the CMAs, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn (who has not treated Nicole) claimed that he thought Nicole’s trout pout was due to injections of Juvederm or Restylane. “Her lips look large and puffed up, causing her mouth to not move completely naturally,” he said on MakeMeHeal.com.
But if there’s one thing Nicole can take heart over, it’s that she’s not alone. Following in the footsteps of trout pout hall-of-famers like Meg Ryan, Lisa Rinna and Lara Flynn Boyle, Heather Locklear, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson and even Octomom, Nadya Suleman, have recently been sporting that bee-stung, can’t-close-my-mouth-completely look.

But as far as Nicole’s husband is concerned, his wife is still as beautiful as she was on the day that they wed in 2006. The “Kiss a Girl” singer is so besotted with his wife that he hadn’t noticed her recent botched procedure.
“Keith is so in love with Nicole that he thinks she always looks gorgeous. He only sees a beautiful person standing in front of him.”
We guess love really is blind.
