No Eyebrows—Would You Go There?

If you were enamored of the curiously browless backstage beauty look from the Fall Balenciaga show or happen to count Terence Koh—all forehead, circa 2008—among your style icons, you’ll be happy to know that you are officially on trend, according to The New York Times. The newspaper is reporting an increase in brow shaving and bleaching for stylistic purposes. Although we can’t say we’ve witnessed said phenomenon on the street level quite yet, we are definitely willing to suspend our disbelief and accept that its trickle-down effect is in fact coming. (Stranger things have caught on.) Would you go there?

A friend of mine did this in the 70.s! She also whent to school with her shoes and socks cut off at the ankles, to reveal her toes! all because the teacher sent her home for another fashion expression(that will remain unmentioned)(if I recall right she got suspended that year!) Ha-Ha1.

Maybe they think fashion is about different from the norm, to be unique, but how about beauty? Seriously, this isn't beautiful! Are people really so blind?

Before you consider this, consider that it could be perminent. At puberty I thought it would be so attract to shave off my brows and pencil them in. Wrong !! They never grew competely back, and to this day I must pencil them in, not fun, or smart. So think about the possibilities !!

Both my elderly aunts ( aged 88 & 89) have shaved their brows and penciled them in since they were young women. I always thought it looked weird and still do. I have skimpy brows due to thyroid disease like that other woman. I have trouble keeping from smudging mascara all over my face, can't imagine having to worry about rubbing off my eyebrows too. I vote NO.

Unfortunately, a lot of young women may not realise that they do not always growe back in!

That is absoulotely hideous any woman dumb enough to shave off their eyebrows shouldn't be given the title 'trendy'!!! Honestly!
