Despite many of us having some financial difficulties right now, one one hand the recession is making our fashion dreams come true! High end designers—even couture designers—are making cool items we can afford. Remember how Betsey Johnson said she may collaborate with QVC? Well, Jean-Paul Gaultier has confirmed a Target collection, which will hit the racks of over 250 Target locations and Target.com on March 7. The designer's collection will celebrate the American woman in pop culture, past and present. Does this mean Madonna cone bras? And outrageous glamorous designs like Rihanna, Beyonce and Kylie Minogue have worn on tour? Oh my gosh, we are squealing with anticipation!

The Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui for Target collections proved to be huge hits earlier this year, and we love that the mass retailer keeps rolling out these collaborations. French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier launching an affordable line here in the States is worth marking your calendars for. Stay tuned for photo and price leaks in the mean time—March 7 is a long ways off. [NY Mag]

    Overalls are back! LOL! I remember the 90's, I'd wear them with a belt and the hooks hanging off my ass, and a really tight shirt, I was hot! LOL!! I am looking for rompers like J-Ho!! So hard to find!

    The Target collections for me have been hit or miss. I got a couple cute items from the last few, but there were also a lot of weird, ill fitting, or unwearable things. Hopefully this will be similar and it won't be ALL cone bras, but some edgier and yet not totally impractical clothes. Or better yet entirely wearable like the Proenza Schouler collection was.

    To DIE for Gaultier!!!!! I must say I was extremely disappointed in the Anna Sui collection. It looks like she used scraps from the cutting room floor...very poor designs as well! Not impressed!

    I'm interested but not getting hopes up. I'm with Ahleah G, the last couple times I went to look at one of these designer collections they sucked. I'm always up for a new one though and Target rocks no matter what :)
