OPI and Dell Team Up for Polished Laptops
partner
If you’ve been content to
express yourself by painting quirky colored lacquers onto your
fingernails, you’re thinking small-time.
Dell has ventured outside the box and
made it possible for you to put your favorite polishes where they
apparently belong: on your computer. The popular laptop purveyor
has partnered with
Opi and will introduce a new series of
portable computers next month, each designed to resemble a large,
wavy nail-polish spill. Launching under the clever pretext of
“[matching] your nails to your e-mails,” the first colors to debut
will be Opi’s I’m Not Really a Waitress (a deep wine-red pictured
above), Kyoto Pearl (a white satin), Princesses Rule! (a sparkly
pink), Up Front & Personal (a glittery gold), Dear Santa (a
shimmering red), and Holiday Glow (a charcoal gray). Seeing as how
we are involved in what some might call an unhealthy codependent
relationship with our super-sleek, silver MacBook, it would take a
lot to compel a breakup. But it just so happens that we have an
equally devastating addiction to nail paraphernalia, so…things
might get a little complicated come November.
