Our Fave Beauty Looks from the Golden Globes (and How to Get 'Em)

Award season is upon us, let the parade of cleavage and collagen begin! Seriously though, we love seeing our favorite celebrities all glammed up on the red carpet (and the occasional style disaster can be fun too). Here are our favorite hair and makeup looks from the Golden Globes and how to copy them at home.

    • Kate Winslet
    • Jennifer Lopez
    • Eva Mendes
    • Isla Fisher
    • Hayden Panettiere

Kate Winslet

We love this softer, more modern version of a classic old Hollywood makeup look. Recreate it by sweeping champagne-colored shadow on lids and lining eyes with dark brown pencil (Not skilled with a pencil? Watch this how-to video to brush up). Sweep on peachy-pink blush and finish with soft red lipstick applied with a fingertip (try Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick in Apple Brandy).

They all look great -- but isn't Jennifer Lopez's hair a bit boring for an awards show? Makes me miss Bjork and her swan dress.

Drew??????? Please! Her hair was so wide they needed to open both french doors so she could fit.

Did not dig Drew's hair...much too light, could've have been warmer to flatter her skin. Jenn Lopez had a great look..hi, infant twins?! Yes, her hair was pulled back severely...a look most faces cannot pull off, but on her it showcased great bone structure and contrasted well with the flowing drape of the gown's bodice. Miley Cyrus looked lovely, age appropiate, light make-up with just enough polish.

J.Lo is looking 1998 beat down.. but Kate Winslet is getting better everytime I see her! What's her secret? Older, with children, and hotter than she was in Titantic!

I think Isla Fisher is always stunning and she didn't disappoint last night. Hair color is gorgeous with her rich dark brown eyes.

I'm definitely digging JLo's makeup. Kate always looks gorgeous; her hair was really eye-catching in the back. And can we add Cameron Diaz to the "worst hair" category? I mean I love Drew for trying but Cameron's hair was just so ... boring!

Are you guys going to do a thread on the jewelry of the evening as well? I've seen best dressed, worst dressed, and beauty. Can you do a little one on jewelry. I'm dying to know where Christina Applegate's necklace came from. She looked absolutely stunning in it.

I miss Bjork's swan dress too. These Golden Globe looks are kind of like nice wine pairings (don't always notice when they are paired nicely with a meal, but you definitely notice when it's a bad match). These ladies look nice but they don't stand out. I definitely notice what I consider to be the worst looks though. I guess people thought the same about Bjork & her swan dress. To each his own...
