Ralph Lauren Likes 'Em SKINNY

This model says she was axed because she's not thin enough.

Feeling a tad depressed because you've gained a little too much weight? This won't make you feel any better.

Filippa Hamilton, the woman who was Photoshopped in a recent ad to freakish proportions, says she was fired by Ralph Lauren

because she's too fat. That's right. The 5-foot-10, 120-pound model is too big at a whopping size four.

According to Hamilton, Lauren's reps sent a letter to her agent stating that the 23-year-old beauty was terminated because she could not "fit into sample clothes that you [Hamilton] need to wear." Apparently, women with an aversion to food fit quite nicely.

Hamilton needs to sue Ralph Lauren if Hamilton did not give permission to use her head on this photoshoped body.

I for one am tired of Corporations that browbeat, threaten and abuse their employees, foreign workers or the general public and then run ad campaigns to make themselves look better when they are caught in the act. I am also tired of corporations trying to force their sick, twisted and demented opinions on all of us as to what we should wear, what we should look like, how we should think and whom we should vote for. Well I'm voting ... with my wallet. I will no longer purchase anything from Ralph Lauren or anyone that is associated with them.

after reading this article i wouldn't buy a ralph lauren product if there was nothing else to buy. it is disgusting enough that models are expected to look like young boys with breasts, but to fire this beautiful woman because she is considered "overweight" is sickening. the fashion industry needs to get a grip on reality.

Maybe I will think twice before buying Ralph Lauren the next time, after all I am a size 8-10 and apparantly that is too large to look attractive in his clothing.

Yep, Ralph Lauren just lost another customer. Idiots, try catering to ALL women. I am a size 10, you must consider me obese which is absolutely ridiculous, if they knew anything they would know the AVERAGE size woman in the US is a 14. Idiots... I'll stick with designers that reach out to all women.

WOMEN UNITE and let Ralph Lauren know that this is not acceptable... maybe an incentive would would be hurting him where it really hurts... in his pocket. A little boycotting of Ralph Lauren products might help.

ITS ASHAME THAT RALPH LAUREN FEELS THAT WOMEN WOULD BOWL DOWN TO HIS FINANCIAL BRIBE.. TO THE POINT OF SALING THEIR HEALTH AND PUTTING THEIR LIVES IN DANGER. HE HAS NO RESPECT FOR WOMEN AND THE HEALTH ISSUES HE CREATES BY HIS "IF YOU WANT THE MONEY,SALE ME YOUR SOUL" CONTRACTS. ITS TIME FOR WOMEN TO STOP BEING PURCHASED AND TREATED AS RECYCLABLE DOLLS ON THE CATWALK. PLEASE STOP KILLING YOURSELVES, DONT LET YOUR DAUGHTERS AND SONS DESTROY THEIR HEALTH IN ORDER TO SERVE RALPH LAUREN!!!

This totally sucks. I will not patronize Ralph Lauren anymore. There are too many other good designers and others that are not so costly or biased.

R-E-A-L-L-Y! Come on Mr. Lauren! I always thought you and the clothing line you developed were of a class act! I am very disappointed and out-raged at you and the fashion industry!! Healthy is what is in. Not tortured, twisted modeling contracts! Please start allowing Models to show healthy inner and outer beauty! P-L-E-A-S-E!!!!!!!
