Does getting out the door to get to the beach, usually involve a
stressful rush? Ever gone to sit on the sand, only to find
you've left your towel at home?!
Get to the beach in a flash and don't waste a moment's
bliss with this BEACH BAG CHECKLIST. As for the stress, sweat and
swearing that usually goes with getting out the door...kiss it
goodbye forever!
Here's a fool proof BEACH BAG CHECKLIST for busy women who
want to make the most of their precious beach time, without
forgetting a thing!
1. Towel - size does matter. A lush large beach
towel means you can really relax. Might take longer to dry but
it's worth it. Have a spare at home or in the car and the
problem is solved!
2. Hat - a wide brim hat is not only sunsmart,
it's oh so stylish. Remember to keep it in proportion...if
you're petite and not overly confident, keep the brim size
narrower. Curvacious and more generously proportioned, go for it!
If hats just aren't your style or you're the
'active' type, try a visor. Not the greatest sun protection
option but something is better than nothing.
3. Swimwear - you could wear them underneath
before you go, but if you've got a drive ahead of you, perhaps
not the best option.
4. Spare Underwear - ties in with 3. Keeping a
spare set on hand makes the return trip home so comfortable. Things
can often get wet at the beach so a spare pair might just save
you...one day.
5. Sunscreen - for face, body and lips. It's
really important that finer skin gets special treatment. Go for
maximum sun protection factor (SPF) every time. Remember to
re-apply often, especially after swimming or sweating!
6. Sunglasses - next to keys, they must be THE
most 'looked for' summer essential on the planet. Keep a
pair in your bag, and save yourself hours of time and frustration.
They don't have to be expensive to offer great UV protection.
Getting the right shape for your face...vital.
7. Water Bottle - (full of fresh water of course)
- this is the only think you'll need to remember to add to your
bag before you go. Stale water can make you sick but nothing
hydrates better than water - a day at the beach is certainly
dehydrating. Keep it handy and sip it often.
8. Something to Read - summer is made for reading
and it breaks up a day at the beach beautifully. See if you can get
20 uninteruppted minutes in for a real relax. Be it a magazine or a
book, get into the habit of replacing the finished article with a
fresh one when re-packing your bag and you'll never be
disappointed.
9. Haircare - it's most annoying when hair
gets wet, the temperature's rising and you haven't got
something to tie your hair back with. So tiny, they're bound to
get lost in the sand sooner or later so have a few little ties,
clips or a stunning scarf on hand just in case. They don't take
up much room but they will keep you cool and less frazzled.
10. A Great Beach Bag - obvious but often
over-looked! A Beach Bag with a few well placed pockets makes life
so easy.
- an inside zip pocket to keep your keys, phone, ipod, lip balm, hair ties/clips/scarf and valuables sand free and safe
- a place for wet swimwear
- another for sunscreen and water, preferably on the outside, is very handy for that quick sip or slap.
A Great Beach Bag is hard to find but vital for carefree summer
fun. This Beach Bag
comes pretty close to ticking all the boxes. Well placed pockets,
one with a zip, will make sure your valuables are sand free and wet
cossies keep their hands to themselves!
CHECKLIST complete. Tick it off when you re-pack your bag and
you'll be Beach Ready in a flash!
Enjoy your summer.
