“So You Think You Can Dance” without panties? Big mistake.

In the world of televised wardrobe malfunctions, Janet Jackson's Super Bowl nip slip reigns supreme. Hundreds of thousands of viewers saw Justin Timberlake "accidentally" reveal Jackson's nipple ring-adorned breast in the middle of the halftime show and the network was fined $550,000. Well, this week's episode of "So You Think You Can Dance," may go down in TV history for and even worse offense. Contestant #22036 was so excited about her performance, she did a victory dance that involved writhing and flailing her body on the dance floor, allowing the camera, and all of the show's viewers, to see up her dress. Did we mention she wasn't wearing panties? Talk about an over-exposed reality star!

First of all, what is up with all these ladies not wearing underwear? I grew up with hippie parents, but nowhere in my upbringing was I taught that you could or should forego undies to avoid a VPL (visible panty line). In this case, why were seamless bikinis, boy shorts or thongs all negated beneath a skimpy dance costume that would be spinning and twirling in front of America? Same goes for Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and every other female in Hollywood who has fallen victim to up-skirt photos when getting out of a car or dancing on tables in a club. If you do choose to go commando, wouldn't you be extra careful to not expose yourself? Especially when you know you have hundreds of cameras on you?

We also must wonder why Fox, the channel that aired this crotch-baring episode of "SYTYCD" during prime time, did not edit out the segment in question. The show is taped, not aired live. Perhaps they need to re-title the show "So You Think You Can Flash," or "Flashdance." Oh no, that one's taken.

For those curious about the TV moment, you really can't see anything, but you know what's there. The clip is out there on the internet if you so wish to find it, but we'll avoid posting it here to spare the dancer further embarrassment.

Huh? What on earth was she thinking? If she wasn't wearing undies why on earth would she roll around (her victory dance) exposing her privates to millions?

No etiquette nor brains. I can't imagine how many people viewed this with their children in H.D. She obviously wasn't worried 'bout the germs spread all over that dance floor either. How distasteful and gross.

How do u complete a whole dance routine without wearing any "draws"? Where the judges just shocked and awed to the point that nobody said anything to her? Or did'nt they care enough to ask her if she had forgotton something? Like her mind.....

Why didn't FOX edit it out? Cause we are all talking about it, and it wasn't enough for them to get fined. They think that this little bit of publicity will make thousands of viewers watch next week to see what this idiot does next. And sadly that is probably what will happen, which doesn't make us any smarter than the crotch lady.

She should've been disqualified. What a skank! No class to show your ass. Glad I don't watch the show. Her mom must be so proud.

Actually there are quite a few people who do not don underwear. I think it depends. I have tried it with a few pants. it was ok. Once with a sundress but I was leaving a hospital. I don't think the celebs are wearing any on the red carpet. (on or off)

Something tells me the whole winning part probably shut down her rational thought that would have kept her from making such a stupid mistake. I honestly don't care if some one doesn't wear underwear, it's entirely up to them, but it does mean that you have to be aware of how you move so that people can't see your private regions.

What happen to Nude colored underwear that leave no panty lines? Dancers who do this, portray a statement that they do not mind all eyes to see up their dress if it rises to high...

In her defense some people find underwear very uncomfortable. I'm not saying what she did is acceptable, but I understand sometimes you just need to be free, but not at the expense of others. Besides that showing off a little can be liberating.
