Stars Who Say No to Botox

You may have been following the silicone opera of Amy Winehouse's alleged $35,000, possibly exploding boobs this week. (The British tabloids certainly have been.) But we've noticed a kind of celebrity beauty news that also seems to be exploding: the I Didn't (or Wouldn't) Do It story. Fox News recently reported that Gretchen Rossi wouldn't dream of getting implants, and in a Harper's Bazaar interview, Tina Fey says she won't do Botox.

Related: Should Botox be banned for actresses?

Rachel Weisz got on board the no-Botox train a while ago; when she reiterated her resistance to de-wrinkling technology last week, it set off comparisons online to other actresses who might feel differently, and culminated in an announcement by Nicole Kidman that she is all "natural." We've even seen a website recently that noted that Taylor Swift doesn't need any surgery (at age 19...although the site speculated on what she might want to do for enhancement down the line.) What do you think: is not going under the knife (or the needle) worthy of headlines?

Do you need Botox to be successful?

I will believe Nicole Kidman is all natural the day she can make her forehead move.

I think it's as much news as going under the knife/needle. Women who refuse to give into the hype and have their entire faces (or bodies) remodeled can be role models for a healthier self-image.

One day, being surgically mutilated is going to look "normal" while non-surgically mutilated people are going to be considered "ugly"

Exploding lips, inflated boobs, frozen faces, stick-thin noses--- that plastic look is becoming the reality.

Okay, so who did she thinks she's going to fool...come on...her face can't move...her smile is forced, don't get me wrong, she look okay, but natural-------SHE IS NOT!!!!!. The bottom line is I believe that if it makes you happy do it...a little botox, is not bad, but when you look like Nicole and dare deny it...is BS. Fear is what makes this ladies do this, and the fact that Hollywood put some much pressure on them...

NATURAL is best...take care of you mind, body and spirit and all that stuff is just not necessary.

i think self image can reflect how you do your hair to what surgically you alter.... both are about the same especially when it makes you happy. enhancing your beauty just not going overboard! i'd like to say be happy with natural image but hey we are human and nothing will ever make us happy it like having computers do everything for you one day we might not have to exist because computer are running everything haha (not likely to happen)

This is a lot like when celebrities say they stay in shape by chasing their kids or walking their dog(when we know they have personal trainers, strict diets, liposuction and thin-making drugs)and when they say that all they do to get their glowing complexion is using a little Cetaphil Cream if they're feeling "a little dry"(when we know they have the best dermatologists and medical-grade skin products and procedures) - ALL lies! It's been common practice for celebrities to keep mum about plastic surgery, so why should it be any different with stuff like Botox? Sure, there might be the odd one out who will actually go against the grain but he or she is in the minority. Another problem this creates is that people get used to seeing these tremendously altered people and come to see it as normal, and think they themselves are ugly by comparison. Folks, the new standard of beauty is increasingly surgical/procedure-oriented! Either that or massively-Photoshopped.
