Bangs. Curls. Highlights. What hairstyles are making a splash
this summer? From Diane Sawyer to Jennifer Aniston: Paul Podlucky,
Manhattan’s private hairstylist to the wealthy and well-known,
names the celebrities with the sexiest tresses of the season.
I'm not a huge fan of
short hair, but Winona Ryder to me is the poster child for short
hair. She had her hair long for a number of years. Of course, it
was always short, then it went long again. The late Kevin Aucoin,
who did her makeup, was a very dear friend of mine, and always
spoke so highly of her and his experience of her and how little
makeup she needed. I saw all those years that she had grown that
hair out. I thought it looked terrible. Now I love it.
Jennifer Aniston always looks amazing. Come on, give it up. She
isn’t the best looking, isn’t the tallest — but she’s totally made
it. She owns it, and always looks great. Plus, her hair looks
amazing.
Kate Moss: I’ve got to give it to her. She always looks amazing
even as she is maturing. Really blonde, tons of layers. She was the
major model last spring. This year, we saw more images of her with
the bangs. She has a huge voice in fashion — impeccable style and
taste.

Come on, Winona Ryder is the only celebrity that you think looks good with short hair? What about Halle Berry, and Natalie Portman? I also think short hair flatters Neve Campbell. And to go back in time Audrey Hepburn, and even Elizabeth Taylor (in her prime),both looked stunning with short hair. Also, some women can't grow long hair, and some don't want to be bothered with taking long hair. I think that if everyone wore their hair the same way or the same length, the world would be very boring. And I'm sorry, but I think that Kate Moss looks awful in the picture that you've posted here. Her hair looks damaged and the roots are showing. I know that dark roots are considered by some fashion experts to be stylish, but to me it just looks cheap, and Kate Moss can certainly afford to hire a top-notch colorist. Her make up also looks a little harsh and overdone. She looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet, as they say in those old movies.

I disagree with the first and the last celebrity styles. The first looks SOO fake. The last? Same! But Jennifer's hair is gorgeous, you have to admit.

I love Wynona's pixie. I always though it really suited her, and I'm glad its back. I like Kate's hair, too--very rock and roll. And Jen is the master of the beachy look.
