There is a God: America's Next Top Model Renewed!
editor
Seriously—and this is not something I'm totally proud of—I love America's Next Top Model the way I imagine super
fan-addicts love sports, or sports teams, or players, or whatever is they love. Each season (or
cycle, if you prefer), I scrutinize my favorite picks as if they're a fantasy football league, cheering them on, feeling crushed when one cries about her makeover, can't walk in heels, refuses to act over-the-top enthusiastic and humble in the face of the show's most idiotic pranks, or worst of all, is actually too pretty (Here lies a truth born out of many, many ANTM cycles: Really pretty girls, the girls you think could actually be models in the real world, never, ever become America's Next Top Model). I still mourn contestants like Chantal and Joanie and I could still stir up rage just by thinking of Jade or Melrose. When this program ends, a little piece of me will die along with it.
No worries for now though: The CW has just picked up ANTM for at least two more editions. Yay! Also good: The addictive rich-stupidity-clothes fest that is Gossip Girl will return as well. The full story, including news on all of the other CW shows, is available
here.
