User post: One Style I Really Hope Doesnt Come Back This Fall/Winter

Last Fall skinny jeans were SO popular. I wanted to fit in so I stopped at TJ Maxx one weekend and went looking for some skiny jeans. I must inform you that I am NOT a toothpick especially my legs. Im a dancer. I got a medium juniors (im usually that size)  and i literally felt as is my legs were being compressed between two cinder blocks. They were SO uncomfortable! Besides the comfort issue they only look good on all of two people that just happen to have toothpick legs.
The other day my friend and I were looking through a magazine (delias to be specific) and she was saying how they make every size of skinny jeans and she was saying how she was going to get a pair. Now I will tell you that my friend is NOT what you would call a toothpick queen. If anything shes a little heavyset. I swear when she said that I was about to scream.
I just hope this style doesnt come bak any1 else agree?

I agree... 80's clothes should stay in the 80's.

I COMPLETELY agree. I run track and look more athletic than skinny, so skinny jeans make my legs look like two ice cream cones! The only people who look good in them have nearly uniform leg thickness going all the way down, which means no thigh muscles whatsoever. And now they're coming back in these fluorescent colors that only draw more attention to your legs... I'm resisting the trend and getting myself a nice pair boot cut pants. :/

Skinny jeans need to be banned. They only look good on super skinny junior sized girls. The real womewn out there will benefit from some more form fitting and flattering boot cut jeans.

They were/are originally 'skater' jeans. Meant for those who skateboard/rollerskate to have mobility without gettin their pants caught. Plus they just look like riding jodpurs in jean form. Haha. Buy them if you like them not if it is a trend. Duh.

The thing is, I would love to be able to wear tall boots with the jean leg tucked inside, but I can't stand the way skinny jeans fit or feel on me. I don't know how to get that look.

I think skinny jeans are cute, and if you buy them in a slightly bigger size they will actually look very fashionable on any body type. I'm not a skinny girl, I have hips and curves so I bought a pair of skinny jeans a size bigger than my normal jean size and they look great on me. I get so many compliments when I go out in them.

I have an hour glass figure with bare back horse riders legs. There is no way me or most of my friends can now, or will ever be able to wear those. But if you like em, go for it. lol. I like my made to stretch boot cut jeans. :)

I agree. I'm not a fan of the skinny jean - and maybe it's just because I can't pull it off. I'm liking the boyfriend jean right now.
