don't mean bleached, mind you, but a lot lighter than what it is now. The thing is, I have no idea if it
would suite me or not. I don't have very dark skin, but I do get pretty dark from tanning in the summer.
How do I know if it would look right on me or not? Would a hair stylist tell me if it wasn't a good idea?
If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

Report AbuseI totally agree with Audra. "Lightened hair" , especially is you tend to tan dark during summer looks cheap and like you are trailer trash.

Report AbuseI say go for it. Definitely consult an experienced beautician first, though. The good thing is it's always changeable in case you're not crazy about it. I also think there are some websites out there where you can post a picture of yourself and change hairstyles and colors. That might be fun to try! Good luck!

Report AbuseMaybe try some lighter browns and some caramel high lights. I think that would look nice on a brunette. TW

Report AbuseBeware..You might be getting into a lot of hair problems your not aware of or ready for..I also have med. brown hair and have tried to go blonde in all shades..Never color your hair at home trying to go blonde..There are too many problems you can incur..Hair turning orange..Yellow..Or just plain stripping your hair of the nutrients that is needed to stay healthy..Believe me it can become a nightmare..Defenately consult a color expert..But also beware that it can become quite costly to mantain..No matter what they suggest make sure you know what long term financial responsibilities you will have..I would recommend the 24/7 highlight process..It blends really well and will add just the right amount of highlights for the summer without being too expensive ($20)..Good luck!!

Report AbuseThank you for all of your input! I will definately consult a professional first, and maybe even just go with some highlights. Happy summer to all!
