What 80s-inspired trend would you wear?

Shoulder pads THEN (on Dynasty's Linda Evans) and shoulder pads NOW (on MaxMara's runway)

This morning, I taped a segment for the Today Show on how trends from the 80s are making a comeback. Neons and brights, shrunken leather jackets, short full skirts, even shoulder pads! I remember wearing shoulder pads in the late 80s - we all thought they made us look taller and skinnier (by making the shoulders look wider, the waist looks smaller). This weekend, I saw four different women in their twenties wearing them and, to my surprise, two actually pulled them off! Will you revisit the 80s trends? How would you make them look modern?

I was in high school in the 80's---I wouldn't be caught DEAD in 90% of the looks--or hair and makeup from those days---BUT---I still rock the leggings and long tunics, sweaters, & T-shirts look---updated with modern fabrics, of course---and I make most of the things I wear so they're totally original (THANK YOU home ec!!!)---and my fiancee loves my look---because it is SOOOOOO comfortable, I don't think I'll ever stop wearing it

I have to agree with momma cat - it cracks me up how all these young girls think they look so cool - we looked just as stupid as they do now 20 years ago!

I loved wearing the long boots over skinny jeans and tight concert shirts, I loved wearing blazers with camisoles, and I loved wearing hats!!!! So any of that would be cool. Not so much with the neon colors.

As the sun has come out I actually wore my 80's look today, which was a pair of topshop acid wash jeans with a yellow baggy t shirt which falls off one shoulder and has a slogan across the front saying dont pass me by. I have a neon bra which you can see on my shoulder. I feel its an 80's look without trying to hard. Also i think hair is very important, especially the colour.
