What To Wear To: A Summer Wedding

As summer rolls around, as do the invites to many a rooftop/beach/destination wedding. So be prepared with an outfit you can wear to any one of those venues.

A long dress is not something to shy away from as long as it's a.) not white and b.) made of an appropriate material. Stick with one that's lightweight enough for warmer weather, but not made of weekend-errand running cotton. Pair with neutral, strappy shoes, whose color - or lack thereof - can be worn with anything.

Skip the necklace and go for some colorful hanging earrings instead - they give off a more summery feel. Slip on a cuff for detail on the arm, and pack your bar money (never assume cocktails are free) in a classic clutch with vintage detail.

What to wear depends entirely on the time of the wedding. I would never wear a full length gown to an early afternoon wedding.
