Where am I?

So I just found this website, and then I subsequently noticed that I was logged in (thanks again yahoo) and THEN I found out I could blog. I guess I don't know the "Shine" work. Oh gee, let's not make that use of the word a habit. I should google "Shine" and see the point, but let's hurry. This is my problem. First of all, I'm on day 14 of eating healthy (it's pretty interesting, not that much suffering, and I feel better!), and it was a good idea. I plan to make it a lifestyle thing, even though I'm both 20 and still college. Oh gee, how can I avoid the late night snacking and alky binging???

One battle at a time. This is summer.

But as I'm improving self one calorie at a time -- or shall I say one less calorie at a time? -- I've been thinking about my wardrobe. I'm very lazy when it comes to dressing. I don't yearn for shopping or new clothes and I think I've had the same pair of jeans since middle school. I run three times a week now and I don't mind my 4-year old tennis shoes which I wear everywhere. Seri. I need help. I'm very scared to redo my wardrobe because though I won't admit it to my family or friends, I need a long overdue "What Not to Wear" moment. None of my clothes are appropriate. NONE. I also wear clothes that are two big for me to conceal my large breasts (32 f people -- though you wouldn't believe it if you saw what i wore, precisely my goal) and big behind. I definitely go for the size-too-big jeans and the medium shirt. But I have to conquer this. If I could get over my fear/laziness in regards to what I wear I think I'd have even more confidence than I do now. I just have no money, no willpower, and no know-how. I don't know the first thing about building my closet, and even if I did I can never find clothes that really fit me! The prospect of doing all this shopping just scares me and stresses me to no end. But I've got to change things.

Any advice? Should I keep the overall concealing outfits with the too-big tops and the oversized bottoms and the wilting kicks?

Anyone else with a small waist, big badunk-a-dunk, and large hooters? Did I say hooters. Eesh.

per my guy friend:

(10:44:24 PM: so we gon go shoppin together
(10:44:46 PM): i figa u gon need comfy summa n winta clothes
(10:44:55 PM) : stuff u don mind 2 get dirty
(10:44:55 PM) : nice nice stuff
(10:44:59 PM) : and casual dressin stuff
(10:45:25 PM) : and 2 "he don kno wut he messin wit" outfits

And does anyone like toms shoes? I've been holding out to buy them, but they're definitely my style...I think. I don't even know what my style is. That's how lazy and disinterested I am about the whole thing! I'd rather play guitar, do sudoku and research webmd topics.

Sad.

My daughter is in her lae 40's. She is overweight and trying to do something about it. She wears too tight jeans, and tops too short for her figure...ok for at home, but in an OFFICE! I don't know how to suggest she wear a skirt or dress, she likes "casual" but looks awful. I know she's upset about her weight, but she needs help. She HAS nice dresses, but won't wear them. It's a delicate line trying to say the right thing. Need advice.

For the woman who has a 40 something daughter:

The best thing she can do besides a diet and exercise program is to dress the body she has now; with flattering clothes. Tight jeans and short skirts are inappropriate for even skinny girls in the office. They will short-circuit her credibility. If she wanted to be taken seriously, a wardrobe revamping is in order. Replace the overly revealing clothes with professional wear. There are cute, yet professional clothes in plus sizes. ( I used to be a size 26, but now 14/16). Clothes can be altered or replaced while she is working on her weight.
