Why Am I Obsessed With Conditioners?

So I'm in the shower, having my daily cleaning routine when after using the second bottle of shampoo I use, I wonder if this is too much. I have two shampoos: one is an aromatherapy to "energize the spirit" and the other is for dry and damaged hair. I have three different conditioners: one for fullness, the other for damaged hair, and the other to straighten my hair. I have a couple of hair masks and bottles of bodywash in all different scents. Why are women so in love with collecting and using so many different shampoos, conditioners and body washes?
How many shampoos do you have in your shower? What about conditioners; these I always have a ton of. Do you have the beauty product obsession it seems all women succumb too?

I have 5 different conditioners in my shower. My hair is really long and gets very brittle in the winter. I use shampoo and conditioner in the AM and a 5 minute leave in once a week. I try to wash my hair every other or every two days, as everyday washing can strip your hair of natural oils. But, I always feel so gross if I a day without shampooing.

I have two conditioners. One is for extra moisture and the other one is straightening. Both nice scents, but more practical than anything.

I was always obsessed with new things. THEN I went to work in a beauty supply store!!! My closet was bursting with everything. From regular clarifying. To extra moist for dry hair. Masks, oils, creams, lotions, and potions. Everything a girl could want for hair, skin, face, body.

Then I started to narrow it down to what worked for my hair and the cost. I really like dove hair care. Garneir for hair and face, ALSO their heir color is the ONLY one I buy . I can get solon brands, but have found that the Garneir color is the best.

Oatmeal lotion. Aveeno is the best. Also cocobutter lotion.

My hubby says why are there so many bottles of stuff in here? I reply Different days require different products. If I am digging in the garden or playing with kids and dog, then I use clarifying, and tea tree type products. If I am going out to dinner with the hubby, then I use the really nice scented stuff, Love the body washes from Bath and Body works.

Yes, I am addicted to my products. LOL

I have 2 bottle of two-in-one shampoos. One I was using before dying my hair, and a color safe one.

Oh my goodness! I am so glad to read that other women have the same hair care obsession that I do. I can't begin to count the amount of bottles of both shampoos and conditioners in my shower, bathroom shelves and hallway cupboard. My hubby asks the same question as allee's does. "Why so many?!" I give the same answer but I also remind him that he's lucky that I haven't got a shoe or jewelery addiction! Each shampoo and conditioner is for a different day or reason. For instance, when my hair is dried out, I go for the moisturizing stuff. When I want to feel especially good, I use the expensive Frederick Fekkai Glossing treats or Redken Blonde Glam. As I am always on the look out for products that bring out my highlights, I have a stash of those as well. And then there are the duds. The shampoos and conditioners I just HAD to try and they failed miserably. Oh yes ladies, I have it bad! My hair is long and has several different natural highlights in it and I love to take care of it. It's my one and only indulgence that I thoroughly enjoy. Now I'm going to have to try the Garnier and Dove! Thanks for the recommendations. This was fun!

A question to allee...what Garnier color line do you recommend and what Dove shampoo do you like the best? I'm thinking of coloring my hair and my mind reels at the many selections and different kinds. I'm a dark blonde with several different natural highlights and I just want to punch up the highlights and brighten up the blonde. Without wrecking my hair. Your expert help would be most appreciated! Thanks!

One tip, maybe your hair is damaged from all that shampooin'.
