Get ready to see some old “Friends”—the gang hits the big screen while Shannen Doherty returns to 90210

Riding the mega-success of the Sex and the City movie, our beloved sitcom, Friends, is finally being adapted into a feature film. All six cast members will reprise their roles as Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Pheobe, Monica and Joey within the next 18 months. Allegedly a reunion has been in talks since the show ended in 2004, but Jennifer Aniston, the most successful cast member beyond the sitcom, was hesitant to revisit her role. “'As the biggest star of the Friends franchise, Jennifer can't help but look at what's happened with Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sex And The City film and be a little jealous,” says an insider.

Another celeb who may be revisiting her old digs? Shannen Doherty aka Brenda Walsh is in talks to star on CW’s 90210 spin-off this fall. The determining factors? A source says Shannen wants more money and "she wants to know what the story is going to be.” Original co-stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling have already signed on to reprise their roles, and despite problems the actresses have had in the past, Jennie says, "A lot of time has passed, and I'm a big girl. I'd have no problem with her coming on the show."

Sex and The City was groundbreaking for its time. Friends was not (Remember Living Single). I can’t imagine forcing myself to watch the movie. I don’t even watch the re-runs anymore.

I agree. SATC was groundbreaking. Friends, not so much.

In other words, the less successful of the six need a paycheck! The reruns are so dated. Let it rest....

Never saw SATC either. Dont know what the big deal is. A bunch of old women acting and dressing younger, who are desperate to be married and/or having affairs. What is so groundbreaking about that? I loved "friends" and would definitely pay to go see a movie and so would many millions more. I miss Ross, Chandler, Joey, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe, they were nice afternoons in front of the tv after being home from a tough day at work.

I heard that this is total hearsay and numerous reps of the cast have denied it. So I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "confirmed".
