Get your writing featured on Shine Entertainment!

If you're reading this, you're already a reader of Shine (so, thanks!). But have you started blogging yet? If you haven't, check out how you can be featured on Shine Entertainment as a featured blogger. It's easy and fun and free! Here are some tips to help you become the next Liz Smith.

I feature user posts that:

  • Include anything to do with entertainment! This means television, music, books, celebrities, or gossip.
  • Besides the category of "entertainment," I also want to hear your views on pop culture, which can be anything from trends like reality TV, or how teenage stars are misbehaving (tsk, tsk, Miley Cyrus!)
  •  It should have your own personal spin on it. For example, if you think Lindsay Lohan's mom, Dina, is crazy, make sure to tell me specifically why you think she sucks.
  • Be funny. Entertainment should not be serious.
  • It helps if your post have a photo in it; not always necessary, but it makes everything nice and pretty.

I don't pick user posts that:
  • Are spam.
  • Include porn.
  • Include spam about porn.
  • Feature copyright-protected photos.
  • Belong in a different channel (like Home or Parenting).
  • Not to be a complete anal nerd, but using spell check works wonders!
  • And finally, don't be a copy cat! Don't cut-and-paste from well-known publications like "US Weekly" or "In Touch." That's just tacky.

I agree with your post, society has gone overboard. Unsuitable programming not only for children but adults as well. My suggestion is pick up a good book or find some other activity to do with your family or friends. (Not) all programming is unsuitable, but a Majority is.

I agree T.V is quiet addictive.and can be informative as well as non informative, but where are the parents who are allowing their youngsters to engage in watching so muchof all that stuff. I say put it back on the parents.Children are just doing what their parents allow them to do.We live in a society now where we want to keep up with the Jones. Have your kid ever came to you and said MOM ,but my friends are watching it, so why can't I!!!!!!!?
