Is Britney Spears getting her own sitcom?

After the success of her dual guest performances on How I Met Your Mother, it seems Ms. Spears is after a program of her own. Brit had a meeting yesterday with a big time producer Roy Bank (the president of Merv Griffin Entertainment) about potential projects, for which she could star and maybe even produce. There are also rumors that Britney was approached to play the role of Sandy in Broadway’s Grease this summer when the producers recast the show.

Hey, we had never even watched How I Met Your Mother before, and her cameos earned the show record ratings! Maybe her reality show, Britney & Kevin: Chaotic was a flop, but we’d be down to check out Britney with a script.

Would you give Britney a chance on the small screen, or do you think she's a lost cause? [NY Daily News]

I really don't think Britney's a lost cost I think she has a chance and she's trying to get it together. TV's a good place to start. I watched a clip of How I Met Your Mother and she was great..lolz and I'm not that big of a fan. I just like to see her get it together.

I think it is great. She is trying to get back in to the public eye, in a good way. I would rather see her in a t.v. show that she is good at, then in the new with her being bad. Maybe people will see that she is trying to get her life back and is trying hard to do it the right way.

I thought her acting was good-she did not overwhelm any of the scenes-she just fit in with the rest of the cast on 'How I Met Your Mother' -a show I watched out of curiosity only. I would watch a show with Britney in it-if it were set in the same format as the 'How I Met Your Mother'show,or sometihng like 'Friends' -you know something a bit realistic and a bit far fetched, not in a sexy role or a trying too hard role. But I did enjoy watching her act. Thought she did an awesome job. She is a performer and this does suit her well.

I must say she annoys me to levels I haven't experiences since I was a teenager. I think she needs to get out and stay out of the public's eye and find who she is without Hollywood influencing her in any way.

I was actually pretty surprised. She really held her own on the show. Now - should she have her own? Well, doesn she really need that added stress? She needs to concentrate on healing so she can be a good mother.
