10 Great appetizers in one minute (or less!)

Gnarly sweat spots and chewed-up fingernails are just two of the side effects one can suffer when throwing a cocktail party. How to mitigate all the anxiety? Try serving any (or all) of these 10 party snacks at your next soiree. They’ll take you less than a minute to prepare and will leave your guests wondering how they can be more like you.

Olives
I usually go for the pitted kalamatas.
Nuts
I love anything almond.
Cheese and crackers
For cheese variation, it’s best to offer one hard, one soft, one blue and one bloomy rind and I always pair with Carr's table water crackers.
Chips and salsa
I go for the chili lime guiltless gourmet and cannot say enough good things about the salsa from la fogata.
Edamame
Serve with sea salt and soy sauce.
Sashimi plate
Buy already cut, then add a sliced jalapeño to each piece and drizzle soy sauce.
Works best with yellowtail, salmon and tuna.
Sliced apples with cinnamon
Olive tapenade and sliced bread
Cheese sticks
I'm partial to Macy’s famous cheese sticks.
My calling card: little shot glasses of White Russians (Kahlua and milk) accompanied by Oreos.

This is wonderful information, because with the job I have as a Registered Nurse Care Manager, My day starts around 06:30 and I go until 12:00 midnight, before I call it a day. I am exhausted when I get home, so having some easy to fix ideas makes my life a lot easier. Whatever is easy is all I care about. Thanks....Cindy

ummm....kahlua and milk is a sombrero...vodka, kahlua and milk is a white russian (i drink them both)....sounds like a sombrero would taste good with oreos, although i'd be a little leary of doing shots with cookies...nice 'desert' idea, if you only had one or two. maybe i'll try this at a party coming up next week, and see how many everyone really has....

Fig or apricot preserves drizzled on cream cheese, served with crackers. You may use whole fruit pieces and/or mint leaves to decorate.

Mix cream cheese and salsa as a dip for carrots, cauliflower and/or broccoli.

Mini rice cakes topped with slice of tomatoe, muzzarella and a basil leaf.

Place roasted red pepper, cheese and jalapeño inside flour tortillas. Fold in half and cut each tortilla into four pieces.
