Ben & Jerry's scoops up support for gay marriage
editor
Some legislation deserves a
dessert celebration. At least, that's what ice cream kings Ben
& Jerry think.
To show their support of the recent legalization of gay marriage in
Vermont,
Benny & Jerry's partnered with the organization Freedom to
Marry and renamed one of their most popular
flavors.
For the next month,
"Chubby Hubby"
will be called "Hubby Hubby" and available across the
state. The pint carton is emblazoned with two men in
tuxedos. I don't think there's any validity to this, but it
did make me giggle to hear Conan O'Brien say in his monologue
last night that the flavor would now have double the amount of nuts
(*snicker*).
Supporting legalized gay marriage, even if it is not in my state
(yet), seems like the perfect reason to me to scoop up a dish of
ice cream.
What about you? Would you order up a celebratory cone
to cheer on one of your favorite causes? Should food and
philanthropy mix?

you know, i get the whole same sex thing, ive accepted it and have several members of my family that live the lifestyle. But seriously, this is bs. We do not need it shoved in our face every where we turn. You don't see us going around and doing this crap.

Meh... I don't care either way... I only buy Ben and Jerry's for special reasons and usually only their chocolate chip cookie dough.

Sick SICK!! Just another way to throw an abomination in the faces of those who want to be moral! It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve!

No matter what, everyone will have their own opinion regarding this... but whatever makes people happy, no? You don't see gay people saying how sick it is to see a woman and man together, so who are we to judge them? ;)
Just let them live their lives and move on.
