Comfort Food, Past and Present

A well stocked pantry is the key in creating quick and satisfying comfort food. In the coming months I intend to post a few recipes that can be made in a very short time and they will slap your taste buds. I have years of cooking experience and like any good cook i have made my share of mistakes. But each mistake has helped me to develop a sense of taste in my dishes that i and my family finds satisfying. When i first began preparing food i overkilled  a lot of dishes by using too many seasonings or ingredients that simply did not mix well in the finished product. Any recipe that i post is open to suggestion or change but don't blame me if you add an ingredient and change the flavour and find you don't like it. All recipes can made better or worse using that method. Never forget that cooking and food preparation is a highly personal activity. I am always open to comments and suggestions so don't be afraid to share. Life is all about sharing and food is all about life. I posted a recipe earlier on one of the articles. I do hope the lady who wrote it reads my post and comments. It was for a simple mushroom/barley soup and it is delicious.
