Cry me a...Vidalia?

Ok, so Vidalia onions don't actually make me cry, but the red and the white ones usually do. I've heard that this won't happen if your knife is sharp, but I use Cutco, and anyone who knows anything about Cutco knows that they stay ultra sharp for quite a long while. Now I have noticed that my eyes sting much less when I use my Cutco, but do any of you Master Chef's (or plain old kitchen amateurs like myself) know any other tricks to make cutting onions a little less painful on the eyes? Thanks for your help!

ive got a good tip. if you freeze the onions for 5/10 minutes then if u cut them they wont make you cry.and they will unfreeze quickly so u dont have to worry about waiting forever.

I learned at work that if you don't talk or open your mouth during the whole process of peeling and cutting the onions you shouldn't have you eyes stinging. By the way, I love Cutco
