Delicious: Beer bread--a two for one

There is nothing I like better in the world than multitasking, which is the essence of wild efficiency, which is really the essence of me--Girl Wonder. (Except for how I am the furthest thing from efficient and the only thing wondrous is how I manage to keep all my limbs and my head intact when I'm trying to do eight things at once.) But I can handle two small things at once--especially when they involve my two favorite things, which is delicious food and making people happy. If I can make people happy with delicious food, I will have earned my little spot of dirt, here on Earth. How am I earning it? With beer bread, as suggested by our favorite The Kitchn. Preheat your oven. Whip up a huge batch of the mix, from this easy recipe from A Year in Bread, leaving out the beer. Then, separate out enough of a loaf for yourself, and bake away while you festively tin the remainder of the mix for giving away as gifts to the people you love and are about to make so very, very in love with you. Then, celebrate your awesomeness and your pile of wonderful, inexpensive, loving gifts with a steaming hot slice of beer bread and loads of butter. Hooray!

More inexpensive, homemade gift ideas that will make everyone fall in love with you.

I read this yesterday afternoon, and made it as soon as I got home. It was delicious and made my co-workers love me when I gave them my leftovers.

I make beer bread too. The recipe I have is from the 'chicken soup cookbook' lots of stories to go with recipes. One of the first recipes I tried was beer bread. Now it is one of my classics. it is a recipes that I have followed to the letter some times. It is also the recipe I have screwed up sometimes. But every time no matter what it turns out . Even when I forget ingrediants.!!! I have made it with defferent types of beer for different flavors. Every person who thinks they cant cook, let alone make bread should try this one. Completely idiot proof..
