I've been thinking a lot about food and exercise lately because I have, after months of blowing it off, finally begun to exercise again in an effort to lose my excess weight. I purchased a Bodybugg, and am sure I'll be writing about it in months to come because I wish everyone with a weight issue could be given one of these.
But this morning, as I was looking through some of my favorite Greek cookbooks and thinking about the meals I'll prepare this week, I was thinking about how much food impacts our wellness. I'm not talking about a diet - I have been on, either wholeheartedly or half-heartedly, more diets than I can even remember in the last decade or so. I think the problem with a diet is that aside from some immediate weight loss or body change, you don't get that much out of it. You usually feel deprived in some way or another, and it gets in your way when eating out or attending a celebration, and few diets are maintained long-term.
So I was thinking, what if people could get in touch with the food that truly feeds and fuels not just their body, but their souls?
