Menus in hospitals are fodder for comedians and wise-cracking relatives, but for one long-term patient in England, it's gone beyond a joke.
"Most of the food has got some kind of a white sauce, beige sauce, or a brown sauce, you can't really guess what it is. It just does not look like conventional food," the 47-year-old patient, who calls himself Traction Man, since he has had leg surgery, lamented to the BBC.
He made the best of the situation by creating Hospital Food Bingo as a game for his friends. He posted photos of each of his meals online: "Unfortunately, most of them couldn't guess what it was. They kept getting it wrong."
Have you eaten hospital food lately? Was your experience better than Traction Man's?
