I cant even begin….

I dont mind doing extra work because someone else didn’t do it, but the reason you gave was ridiculous, and he should have had to come in early to do it. Seeing him there not doing all 50 million silverware made me angry. He could have at least helped, or said he was sorry or something. But I dont mind it much. He obviously can not handle the business.  seven days and counting…seven days!!

I do mind, however, having to do twice the work because someone didnt show up. I have noticed when i have to Expo and QSS at once it affects my performance negatively. Trying to do both is not only difficult when we are busy, but it is also stressful. as QSS i have to run food, do all sidework, and roll all of the silverware. when I expo i have to pull the food out of the window for the QSS to run and communicate with the cooks for the servers. So basically yesterday i had to pull the food out of the window for myself to run while calling back recooks and asking the cooks for things and do the sidework. I was getting very backed up. the servers were complaining. no, only one server was really complaining. the others were helping. the help wasnt much because we were all very busy, but all-in-all i appreciated the help tremendously.

There are people who call out and show up to work late for no reason. Nothing ever happens to them. When you call out for your day shift, but then show up for your night shift, something is wrong with that. I dont know what the reason may have been but it just bugs me when that kind of thing happens. people have no work ethic this day in time and it drives me insane. I work very hard, yet i still hear “young people have no work ethic.” It is not young people, It is some people.

another thing that i hate [which is none of my business, mind you] is when people come to work under the influence. Now the last time i checked, that was gorounds for immediate termination. coming into work visibly intoxicated is nto only stupid, but you could seriously harm someone. I dont understand how one could come into work high on who knows what and still believe they are a good worker. It is ridiculous. I dont see how it is acceptable. I dont see how they still have their jobs. It really bothers me to see it happen.

I value my jobs, and i dont want to lose either of them. That is why i do as i am told. that is why i do what i can to help out. that is why i wouldnt come to work under the influence. that is why i give ample notice when i have to miss a shift. I wish more people would respect themselves and their jobs. even when you are not at work you are still representing your work.

I agree with u 100% I hate it when People say young people have no work ethic. Im 25, and where I work alot of the other employees are older, some do a great job & some just bs- we are always buzy there is one waitress she is older & always slacking, she moans about everything under the sun & basicly ruins the nite for everyone. Everytime you see her she is in the break room smoking a cig, or talking on her phone- the other servers including me always pick up her tables so the boss dont raise hell but she has the nerve to say that we younger people dont take our work seriously. Leaves early all the time & I mostly gotta stay late to take care of her work (she is also the one who tripped me)

absolutely, there are elders that slack off just cz they think they can get away with it.there are some young kids that take their job seriously cz they are helping their parents or going to school also.the ones that slack off need someone like me to tell them to their face cz i have no respect for them in the workplace--young or old.Darn it you freakn needed a job, well show that ya need it and respect your workplace and work!!!
