I think you pretty much got the basics. Here are some items I would add to the list:

whisk (yes, you can use the Kitchen-Aid, but some things need to be done by hand)

    good knife set

    cake turntable

    pastry bags

    pastry tip set

    offset spatulas

    pastry brush

    rolling pin

    parchment paper

    mixing bowls

There is really a lot more I could add to the list, but then we would be getting into the more professional baking equipment.

Jason, great list! If you are a cookie baker, I would also add cookie scoops, they are a real time saver and the consistent size of the dough scoops helps the cookies bake evenly. I love my silicone bundt pan, it's the cathedral one and makes beautiful cakes, especially if you just drizzle glaze over it. Also, a good half sheet pan is a great multipurpose piece. I have the oxo skidproof mixing bowls, they are cheap but have the great Oxo quality.

The KitchenAid mixer is seriously a MUST HAVE! I tried other cheaper options... but they were a waste of money. So no matter how expensive the KitchenAid mixer may be- it is worth it x10! I use it for so many things, it makes life so much easier-- Walmart has it cheap also! Happy baking.

I LOVE my kitchen aid mixer!

    I would add

Bundt pan, cup cake/muffin pan, springform pan, and tons of favorite cookie cutters.

rolling pin, different size mixing bowls. I have multiple measuring cups and spoon sets. I like PYREX glass measuring cups for liquids! And the measuring device that looks like a tube. It is for things like peanut butter. You push the tube up to the level that you want, put the peanut butter in, and then push it out. I don't know what it's called.

For those serious bakers, I would add a scale and a CANDY thermometer.

I, too, love my Kitchen Aid mixer. So much so I got the matching Food Processor.

I would add a baking stone and pizza peel for those who bake a lot of bread. You will never regret it!

And you need to have at least 2 Silpat on hand. Makes the cookie baking easier to have one in the over and one ready to go in the oven.

p.s. I also splurged a few years back for a Kitchenaid mixer. I love that thing! I have not tried a pizza baking stone, may have to add one to my arsenal, my son swears by them. I will have to look for one of those "pushy-outy" things next time I go gadget shopping, i do use pb and shortening in baking and it is kind of a messy process sometimes.
