Raw Nut Milk

user

I am loving this raw diet and finding new ways to make my own food. I am also starting out simple, so I don't get to disappointed with myself. So far I'm doing pretty good.
Nut milk was one of the first things I tryed to do myself- it is so easy. Here is the recipe I like to use and enjoy. For this recipe you can use any kind of nuts you like. I have used hazel nuts and almonds so far. I believe those 2 are the most common.

Raw Nut Milk:
1 cups raw nuts
3 cups filtered water
to taste vanilla bean and dates (I don't like to use these)

Put nuts in a small bowl and cover with water. Let soak for at least 8-10 hrs in refrigerator.
Drain and rinse nuts. In a blender put nuts and filtered water and blend for 2 minutes. For a sweet taste add the vanilla and dates and blend until mixed well. With a nut/grain bag or cheese cloth catch the nut mash and drain well. Drink right away or put in frig for later.
Enjoy!
