The Clean 15: Foods You May Not Need To Buy Organic

user

If I were a wealthy person, I would not think twice before buying everything on my shopping list in its organic form.  I'm worried about what kind of effect pesticides will have on the health of my kids.  Plus, organic farming is better for the environment.  Any little way I can be greener these days, and I'm happy to do it.

Because I'm just a regular middle class person, I do my grocery shopping on a budget.  Some things I try to buy organic (see "The Dirty Dozen") but considering those products cost 2 to 3 times more than their conventionally grown counterparts, I can't do the whole list.

After a little web browsing, I came up with a list of 15 foods that have been tested and have the lowest pesticides in them.  Here are foods you don't necessarily have to buy organic:

"The Clean 15"

1. Onion
2. Avacado
3. Sweet Corn
4. Pineapple
5. Mango
6. Asparagus
7. Sweet Peas
8. Kiwi
9. Cabbage
10. Eggplant
11. Papaya
12. Watermelon
13. Broccoli
14. Tomato
15. Sweet Potato
